My Trillian won’t connect Skype on Windows 8 Customer Preview. I fixed it by just set the compatibility mode to Windows “earlier” versions.
- Quit out of Trillian
- Find the program files folder, on mine it was in C:\Program Files\Trillian
- Right click trillian.exe
- Select Properties
- Click the “Compatibility tab”
- Check compatibility mode box and select the version of Windows you prefer. I chose Windows 7.
- OK
- Next time you run Trillian, Skype should connect and stay connected
